We have offices in Silicon Valley, New York, Vancouver, London and Milan.
Our team is looking for a highly experienced application UI designer. Good news for you is this position will allow you to work on or off site with flexible hours. Bad news is we expect you to be available once in a while during business hours for meetings. For a good fit, the position has the potential to move from contract to permanent and/or full time employment.
As a UI/UX Designer at Catalyst Resources, you will assess client and project needs including: branding requirements, color palette and style directions, interaction conventions, prime objectives etc. You will profile product users and prioritize use-cases, as well as design the wireframes that constitute the primary workflows. You will lead a client team in defining a visual system and apply that to the wireframes and facilitate user feedback by conducting feedback sessions with multiple stakeholders. Commonly, interaction design and visual design will be refined over multiple iterations based on user feedback. Upon completion of a certain projects, you will provide the client with schematics of functional and UI design specifications.
Expertise in Adobe design software: Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
Familiarity with HTML5/CSS and development conventions.
Ability and experience working with development resources.
Familiarity and experience working in the AGILE a plus.
We're looking for self-starters - candidates who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction, and learn by asking the right questions.
Ability to manage client expectations and process against a projected timeline.
You should have a solid portfolio of SaaS or Enterprise application design. We want to see that you’ve built interfaces with dense functionality before, not just great websites
This is a senior position; we're looking for someone who has at least 5+ years of UI/UX design experience. HCI/Design education or equivalent experience.
